Being Jigga's first Roc Nation signing heaped huge expectations on J. Cole, but he's handled them with aplomb. After a series of mixtapes that marked his arrival in the late '00s, Cole went straight to the top with his debut LP, Cole World - The Sideline Story. So what did he do next? Go after a hip-hop king. It paid off too, as Born Sinner debuted a close second to Yeezus in the charts, eventually taking over the top spot.
